ACADEMICS

The school is affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and has all the three streams SCIENCE , COMMERCE and HUMANITIES on its curriculum, for both boys and girls for all classes. The school strives to maintain excellence in Academics, so that in today's competitive world the students may be able to proceed to institutions of higher learning of their choice, in India and abroad. The students of the school, therefore, have been achieving very good results at both SECONDARY and SENIOR SECONDARY level exams conducted by the CBSE, as a result of the efforts put in by the highly dedicated faculty. The school has technically equipped LABORATORIES , a well-stocked LIBRARY excellent COMPUTER facilities, GPRS enabled Transport and Interactive Boards..

                                                 

Curriculum
The school curriculum up to class VIII is prescribed by the NCERT . Students are required to Study: English, Hindi, Sanskrit / French, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Computer, Computer Science and Social Sciences.

Classes IX and X
The curriculum for IX and X is prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi . Students promoted to class IX are required to study the following subjects:

  • English - Course A
  • Hindi - Course B
  • Mathematics

Science with practical

Classes IX and X
The board has introduced the scheme of school based evaluation in social science at secondary stage. (Class IX and X)
The salient features of the scheme are:

• In Social Science and Mathematics a total of twenty ( 20 ) marks have been allotted for internal evaluation as per the following details:

Tests (formative and summative)

- 10 marks

Assignment - school and home assignment

- 5 marks

Project work

- 5 marks

• In science class X 10 marks will be awarded on the basis of final performance of students in class IX and also on the basis of two unit tests held during the year.
Science practical carry 40 marks ( 20 for MCQ test and 20 for performing practical)

Classes XI and XII

 Subjects offered in Class XI and XII are English, History, Geography, Psychology, Mathematics, Fashion Technology, Physical education, Political Science, Multimedia and Web Technology, Economics, Business studies, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Bio-Technology, Mechanical Drawing, Painting, Home Science, Creative Writing.
All students promoted to class XI will be offered 3 different Streams. They will be required to study different subjects offered in that particular stream. The choice of stream will be based on the basis of merit in the class X result and aptitude test.

EXAMINATION SYSTEM

In order to develop in the students a habit of regular studies from I to X classes, as introduced by CBSE Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system shall be followed. For this purpose an academic year has been divided into two terms, April to September as First Term and October to March as Second Term.

In each term there will be two Formative assessments and one Summative assessment for evaluation of Scholastic areas.
